From recent behaviour it became apparent that the window of opportunity in viewing the dogs, close to the den site, is closing fast. Although the dogs became accustomed to the game viewer vehicles and guests, and still offer visitors an unique opportunity to view them from very close, they are spending less time at the carcasses and are keen on returning to the den as quick as possible. Activity at the den has turned into a real beehive with 9 very active pups requiring the full attention of the “watchdogs”.
The pups are now very mobile, and the den has already been moved a couple of times. Bookings can still be made an in case of large groups additional vehicles can be arranged in an effort to afford as many wild dogs the opportunity to view the pack before they move on.
