Trackers Package

Starting at 10am in the morning you are welcomed by one of the highly-trained field guides that will give you a brief lecture on the Wild Dogs, their history, current status and future. Shortly thereafter you will have the opportunity to walk the veld and track the illusive ‘painted wolves’, as they are affectionately referred to, on foot with the help of your expert guide. Tracking and experiencing these beautiful animals on foot really is the experience of a life-time!

Duration: 2 hours
From: 10 am – 12 pm
Price: ZAR550 pp

Feeding Package

In order to ensure the safe passage of both the Waterberg Wild Dogs as well as the conservation of the existing wildlife in the area, there is some supplement feeding due to the Wild Dogs’ eating patterns. With the Endangered Wildlife Fund directly leading this feeding programme, it has been developed to ensure as natural a feeding process as possible. The programme ensures that the location of the supplement feeding is moved with each feeding with natural drag lines to replicate a fresh kill. The supplement feeding programme has been designed to ensure as little interference to their natural instincts and habits. With this experience you will be able to view the Waterberg Wild Dogs feeding and their interaction with each other while feeding. The experience starts from 4 pm so be sure to book accordingly.
